In our experience Vietnamese weddings usually have a few common themes. The first and probably our favorite is that food is a top priority. As wedding photographers we rarely have time to eat unless we are in our car driving to the next location. When we photographed Travis in the morning there was an incredible display of food for the groom and his family. I am pretty sure that everyone in the house asked us more than once if we had eaten yet. After capturing everything we needed we were grateful to take a snack with us on the way to the brides house. The other theme that we have noticed with Vietnamese weddings in Edmonton is the vibrant colours especially if the couple is wearing an Ao Dai. I love the tradition of these outfits but it's the colours that really make these shine on a wedding day. Travis and Vyda chose the Muttart Conservatory as the location for their wedding photos. It is such an illustrious venue in Edmonton and each time we photograph there we try to see it at different angles. no two weddings are the same and we want to make sure that each couple has unique wedding photos.
