We have captured weddings here at all times of the year now and each time we get to work here we consider ourselves extremely lucky.
There are a few options for ceremonies. In the summer the most popular spot is just down the hill from the resort and has a gazebo that overlooks the Rocky mountains. It is truly a scene that takes our breath away every time we arrive there.
In the winter couples like to stay closer to the resort and if weather permits have their ceremony on the front patio with the Three sisters mountains in the background. One of our favourite weddings had their ceremony here and the guests were allowed to stay inside the building until the bride arrived to keep them as warm as possible.
There are many options for an indoor location that can also double as your reception if the weather isn't cooperating that day.
Our favourite is the Pavilion which is the largest room at 3344 square feet, there is a nice fireplace that will keep you and your guests cozy. It also has gorgeous timber frames and huge windows so you can see the Rocky mountains in every direction. When we photograph in this room we know that we will be capturing something special. The first dance is always my favourite part of the night and having the option of an outdoor patio as your dance floor or indoors with the vintage chandeliers and timber ceiling you can't go wrong with either.
The other options are The Sinclair at room 920 square feet, The Palliser at 644 square feet, The Pocaterra at 462 square feet, and Upper Stoney's at 930 square feet.
One of the other reasons that we love Silvertip so much is the food. Not only to they have a world class restaurant in the building called Rustica Steakhouse, but they also have the option for casual dining at Stoneys Bar and Grill.
Whatever option you decide to go with at Sivertip, I assure you as a wedding photographer that has captured so many moments there, you will always have the wedding of your dreams.
